Day 1: Old Town, Art, and Lake Views

Start your day in Zurich's Old Town (Altstadt), a charming labyrinth of cobbled streets, medieval buildings, and hidden squares. Head to the Lindenhof hill, a peaceful park with stunning panoramic views of the Limmat River, the Old Town, and the Grossmünster Church. This is a great spot for photos and a quiet moment.

From here, walk down to the river to see two of Zurich's most famous churches: Grossmünster and Fraumünster. Grossmünster is a landmark with two twin towers you can climb for an incredible view. Fraumünster, with its striking spire, is famous for its breathtaking stained-glass windows by Marc Chagall and Augusto Giacometti.

From there, take a short tram ride to the Kunsthaus Zurich, the city's main art museum. It houses an impressive collection of European art, including works by Swiss masters like Alberto Giacometti and Ferdinand Hodler, as well as renowned artists like Van Gogh and Monet.

For a unique perspective on the city, take a trip up Uetliberg, Zurich's local mountain.
