Afternoon: Desenzano's Bustle

  • Ferry to Desenzano: From Sirmione's pier, take a short ferry ride to the larger town of Desenzano del Garda. The journey offers a great view of the southern part of the lake.

  • Porto Vecchio (Old Port): Desenzano's charming Old Port is the perfect place to start your exploration. The colorful buildings and a small, picturesque bridge make it a lovely spot for photos.

  • Roman Villa: Just a short walk from the center, you can visit the ruins of a magnificent Roman villa. The preserved mosaics are particularly impressive.

  • Shopping: Desenzano is known for its excellent shopping, from high-end boutiques to local craft shops.

  • Torre Apponale: Climb the steps of this medieval tower in the city center for a great view of the town, the lake, and the surrounding mountains.

  • Lake Activities: Riva is the adventure capital of Lake Garda. You can rent a windsurfing board, try stand-up paddleboarding, or go hiking on one of the many trails that start near the town.

Afternoon: Limone's Charm

  • Ferry to Limone sul Garda: Take a short ferry ride from Riva to the picturesque town of Limone sul Garda.

  • Lemon Groves: Limone is famous for its terraced lemon groves and historic limonaie (lemon houses). Stroll through the narrow, winding streets and enjoy the scents and sights of the citrus trees.

  • Promenade Walk: Walk along the beautiful lakeside promenade that connects Limone's two ports. The walk offers fantastic views of the cliffs and the blue water.
